To design a complete trophy based on a rainbow shape but with art sculpture properties. The result is a beautiful and edgy, brutalist style trophy design that steals the show when exhibited. The trophy symbolises honour and success, captured in its shape and stability.

Designer

The Pause Awards trophy is designed by George Hedon, founder of Pause Fest and Awards.

George Hedon

George holds a Design degree from Swinburne University, but he’s never ventured into product and industrial design. Although, he’s been an avid admirer of architecture, product and furniture design. George likes taking on new challenges that stimulate his imagination.


Sustainability

This year we took sustainability seriously and ensured that all materials we use are sustainable or recyclable. The trophy is made from eco-concrete and a mailer box from cardboard.

As a winner, you’ll find two certificates: one for winning the award and the other for the authenticity of your Pause NFT trophy. We’ve got crafty with stamps and wax seals all on this one.

The making of

We’ve collaborated with United Make to make this trophy.

United Make is a multi-disciplinary studio that explores design through the act of making. UDMK fabricates and designs experiences.

NFT Trophy

We’ve looked into Mid-Century Modern and Contemporary art for inspiration. The final concept was about using simple shapes to create interesting compositions in a minimalist setting.


Mohamed Basil | Pause Awards NFT Designer 2021

Mohamed Bacosil, 3D Artist

Mohamed Bacosil is a 23 years old self taught artist from India. He believes 3D is the ultimate place to be creative because you can make anything in 3D, if you are willing to learn. Mohamed is inspired by minimalism, nature, and architecture. Currently, he’s experimenting on how he can bring them all together in his daily designs on Instagram. Mohamed is learning animation at the moment and also working on some cool client projects on the side.

Standing up for your purpose and going beyond together as a team aligned on the single mission to positively impact the environment, people and community. The entries should demonstrate ideas intended to change the world; work which sets out to positively impact ingrained gender inequality, social imbalance or injustice. Only awarded to a single entry in each category track, Grand Prix is the highest accolade in Pause Awards. To win the Grand Prix, the entire Judging Board must unanimously agree that the entry deserves the accolade of being the best in class.
